Photo shoot at the Durbar Restaurant

I had the pleasure of photographing Jaked and Shamim Syed at the Durbar Resturant as part of my Bayswater Portrait project.

The Durbar Tandoori Restaurant has been central to the Bayswater Community since the Seyed brothers’ father Syed Abdul Quddus established it in 1956. My Dad, Michael Bruce was born in India. Seeking the flavours of his youth he became a regular customer when he moved into Hereford Road in 1965, he always orders the same dish, Chicken Tika Masala. Durbar Tandoori

Community: People of Bayswater will be exhibited at the Tabernacle Arts Centre from 15th to 21st September. Community: The People of Bayswater

Thanks to Celine Brill of Bective Leslie Marsh for supporting the project and for these great pictures of the shoot.Bective Leslie Marsh
